Not to excuse the (un)performance of the LLMs here but the cryptogram provided is, strictly speaking, wrong.
"ACT" in the cypher text cannot be substituted by "act", since we already need cyphertext "T" to be replaced by plaintext "s". The other two substitutions (cyphertext "A" for plaintext "a", cyphertext "C" for plaintext "c") are also dubious as the typical monoalphabetic substitution cypher puzzle can typically be assumed to substitute one to one, and we already have cyphertext "M" for plaintext "a".
Yeah, you're right. I corrected that and thought it had updated but evidently not. The edited version in my archive. has a footnote noting that there was a mistake where ACT was substituted for MAV. But when I chase the link I get the uncorrected version of the post. Dunno why it didn't distribute, but this reply should serve as the correction. Thanks for catching that.
